What your purchase
allows.
A normal checkout gives you the license named on the product page. It gives permission to use the copy; it does not normally transfer copyright ownership.
Personal license
You may download and use the work for your own reading, viewing, study, or private reference. You may keep a backup for yourself. You may not resell, upload, redistribute, sublicense, or present the work as your own.
Editorial or commercial use
If you want to use a work in a publication, campaign, client project, product, exhibition, or other public context, contact the archive before buying. We can confirm whether the work is available and agree the scope in writing.
Exclusive rights and copyright transfer
Exclusive licenses and copyright ownership transfers are separate agreements. They require a written contract that identifies the work, rights, territory, duration, payment, and any creator or moral-rights requirements. They are not created automatically by a download purchase.
This page is a starting explanation, not legal advice. The final license and any rights-transfer agreement should be reviewed for the relevant countries and the specific work.
